Students from Year’s 7 to 13 have participated in weekly Swimming lessons this term as part of the Health & Physical Education curriculum.
The lessons have provided all students with the opportunity to improve their stroke technique, overall fitness and self-confidence. Students have all been involved in a variety of pool activities including Water Familiarisation, the Aquacode and mastering new strokes and techniques. Students have also received instruction in Water Safety including Reach and Throw Rescue, Survival Strokes and using water safety equipment, such as life jackets.
Swimming coaches Ms Kuvekalovic and Mrs Luck are delighted with the progress in ability and confidence that all participating students have made over the term.
Thank you to staff and students for all their efforts at the pool and to parents for helping students remember their swimming gear each week.
